As a Business Development Manager, you are responsible for identifying, developing, and managing strategic business opportunities in the physical security industry that will lead to company growth and increased revenue. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to create and execute business development strategies. This position will report to the Senior Director of Business Development.  

 

Key Responsibilities:

Market Research and Analysis:

  • Conduct market research to identify potential opportunities and trends.

  • Analyze industry and competitor data to make informed decisions.

Strategy Development:

  • Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve company goals.

  • Set targets and KPIs for business growth and monitor progress.

Lead Generation:

  • Identify and generate leads through networking, cold calling, and other prospecting methods.

  • Qualify leads and assess their potential for business development.

Relationship Building:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.

  • Negotiate and close deals to secure new business opportunities.

Proposal Development:

  • Prepare and present proposals and presentations to prospective clients or partners.

  • Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to create compelling pitches.

Financial Analysis:

  • Evaluate the financial viability of potential projects and partnerships.

  • Develop financial models and forecasts to support decision-making.

Project Management:

  • Oversee the execution of business development projects from initiation to completion.

  • Ensure that projects meet objectives and are delivered on time and within budget.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare regular reports on business development activities and results.

  • Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and make strategic recommendations.

Team Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to align business development efforts with company objectives.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in business development or a related role within the physical security market, with a track record of achieving sales or growth targets.

  • Strong understanding of industry trends and market dynamics.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Negotiation and presentation abilities.

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Project management experience.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Knowledge of relevant software tools and CRM systems.

  • Willingness to travel as needed.
